Biography

Sebastian Chaumeton was born in 1996 in London, England. Raised in Farnham, his father, an art graduate, and his mother, who had a passion for textiles, fostered an artistic environment that influenced him from an early age.

In his final year at Chelsea, Chaumeton was commissioned by P&O Cruises to create a mural for their new ship, Iona. The 7-meter long piece, featured playful dancing sea creatures. That same year, he also worked with Laurent-Perrier Champagne at London’s Taste of London food festival, where he painted live artworks inspired by different food brands, collaborating with names like Pizza Pilgrims, Bob’s Lobsters, and Yum Bun.

After graduating in 2019, Chaumeton spent three months as an artist-in-residence at Maddox Gallery. His time there culminated in his first sell out solo exhibition, Fuzzy Futures, showcasing a series of multimedia works. In 2020, Chaumeton’s practice took another leap with his second major exhibition, Little Fables, at Whitestone Gallery in Hong Kong. The show, which featured six young artists, saw Chaumeton’s immersive installation take center stage.
